The Middle East region enjoys a competitive advantage in its attractions, consisting of unparalleled religious and cultural wealth; it’s still unpolluted and unspoiled beaches and the well-known warmth and generosity of its people. The WTO ‘Vision 2020’ forecast 69 million tourist arrivals in the Middle East. This represents an average rate of growth of 6.7%, compared with a world average rate of increase of 4.3%.
The developments in the hotel sector in the Middle East region, as defined by the World Tourism Organization (UNWTO), indicates that the hotel industry has a very fast development rate and more mega projects will inevitably be announced.
The number of hotel rooms is growing rapidly throughout most of the region, the level of hotel development, both in terms of capacity and quality, varies considerably amongst the countries.
To support the above hospitality growth in the Middle East , LAMAR Hotels & Resorts international , was established in the (UK) , with its sister company in Egypt. Both were developed to introduce a new concept in the hospitality industry, based on professional and personalized services combined with Middle Eastern hospitality culture.
